This Budget car rental location has mixed reviews. My experience with the lady at the counter was totally fine. She could tell I was from out of town, so she gave some advice for sightseeing. They have a huge parking lot, thanks to the mall. The car I received had not been cleaned. I wish I brought sanitizing wipes. I was able to return the car at the Myrtle Beach airport.

Did not get the discount they promised online and when I went to pick up the car I had reserved it was not available- instead they had an suv which I didn't want because it was more on gas. I wanted the car that got 50miles per gallon. Their attitude was I could just go somewhere else, but that was the whole point of the reservation I needed to leave out of town immediately for a family emergency.

We landed at the airport and when we got to the rental car area, they said they didn’t have a car for our reservation. I called Budget and spoke to Christon and he helped get me what I needed. I even called 10 minutes before they opened and he answered the phone and got me what I needed.

Manager closed the coastal grand Myrtle Beach store early so i couldn’t pick up at my reservation time, when confronted the next morning he swore he didn’t close early but upgraded the car. Told him I was driving long distance, drove 600 miles when oil change signal popped up, opted to get the oil changed myself and was told by the car had NO oil in it and I was lucky the engine didn’t seize.
