They were very helpful at Cairns Airport when we ran into trouble with a flat tire. That is when we were able to actually talk to a human.
Terrible experience. Computer system was down so the whole line was processed on paper. After this we were made to wait for our car to be brought to us for over an hour. We had already book. Meanwhile other planes of people had arrived and had driven away by the time we got the car. Only bonus of the long wait is plenty of time to write a bad review.
It is not acceptable for a car not to be available over an hour past the time it was booked for. This has caused significant delays and embarrassment for a business meeting. It’s a clown show.
Booking was handled by Avis staff. They provided a quick check in and return process. No problems
