I sent a message through AVVO lawyer referral service and her website about a very serious legal issue. She never responded to either. When I called, I was asked a lot of questions by her assistant, then told she wasn't taking any new clients. Seems to be a little disrespectful. I guess if your bank account is full at this time, you don't need to bother yourself with people's problems.
JoAnne solved a particularly thorny probate problem we had. There is no question of her understanding of the law and its ramifications and, even more, of the people involved in the legal, financial, and business world of Chicago. JoAnne Bruzgal contacted me about a case at the last minute. I put in a lot of work for her and her client, including testifying in court. Her client stiffed me on payment and JoAnne has done nothing to help me collect the money that I am owed by her client. I will not be working with her again.
Joanne was great to work with. She was understanding, patient and super knowledgeable. She worked with me regarding structural property damages due to negligence by the HOA. Never quitting, she was able to help me settle and come out whole.
I was trying to find help for my brother regarding a child support case. He had waited until the last minute and was completely unprepared for his court appearance, which was only a couple days away. I contacted the Chicago Bar and was referred to Joanne Bruzgul. I was a little surprised when I actually reached someone on a Friday afternoon, and after explaining my situation to her Associate, I was told that Joanne would review the information, and I would get a call back if she was able to help.
