I would give this a zero. Be careful of placing your loved one in their care (unless your loved one has no medical needs, is not a fall risk, and basically has no issues and could easily remain in their home). The head RN/clinical director was inappropriate, disrespectful, heartless, and unethical. Many promises that never are followed up. The RN neglected Dr. orders for days that were hand delivered. She did not get new medication to my mom for more than 24 hours after it was brought in by family member. Christmas Eve I spent a hour trying to straighten up potassium order that was never communicated to the staff med nurse. Luckily I had medication in hand. Our family has been so happy with the care our Mother receives at Brookdale Manlius. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They really make it feel like a home for the residents.

I have over two years of experience dealing with this Brookdale location. I can assure you, they are more concerned about their Stickley furniture investment than they are about the food they serve their residents. Two years of regular, ongoing billing issues and charges for services not received. Intentional? Or incompetence? It’s hard to say.
