After visiting several other senior/assisted living facilities in the area, my mother and I knew instantly when we saw Brookdale Florence that this was the place for her. It was very homelike, not institutional at all. Moreover, it was smaller than other homes we looked at, giving it a homey feel and the sense that one could feel personally involved here. My Mother-in-law was very reluctant to enter an assisted living facility, even though her limited mobility left her homebound and missing social interaction which had been such a big part of her life before she developed health issues. Since she has moved into Brookdale Florence she has blossomed into a much happier person, interacting with other adults in a way which she finds very rewarding.
The Brookdale team is so wonderful! They could not have been more kind, helpful, and accommodating to us and my mom. They made her transition/move in day very easy. My mom is very happy. Highly recommend this facility
