Public Market The place to be no matter the time of year. Easter and Christmas are always special times but the Market is open all year around. Plenty of parking except at Easter, but the crowds at that time of year are part of the fun.
Not what it used to be The Broadway Market is a nice place to visit but it's not what it used to be. It's got a lot of junk in it now. It used to be a place where you could go to buy fresh meats, vegetables and such. The people would sit around and chat over a morning cup of coffee. Now it's a lot of junk dealers and not the same atmosphere it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice. Just not as nice as it used to be. Easter just isn't the same without some fresh polish sausage and butter lamb from the Broadway marke... read more
Nice and Fresh If you are looking for that particular meat or special food for the holiday season there is a good chance you will find it here. This market brings the style and freshness of an old style market to the modern era of supermarkets. If nothing else it is fun to walk around and look at the various types of special foods that are sold here. Great for the holiday meals.
great place for holidays This is the best place for holiday meats and toys for the kids. We went there and my daughter picked out the hand painted eggs and gets a new one every year. Just make sure you go early, they ran out of holiday sausage last year.
Great old time market This is a great place to get your holiday foods. It's authentic and great tasting. We go every year to get our easter sausage and it is the best tasting. The only thing is you better get there early. Last year every store in the place sold out of the holiday sausage. My kids like getting the painted eggs every year to add to their collection.
Markets like these are a thing of the Past The Broadway Market has been around forever. My grandparents use to go there thats how old it is. I like to go there every year to shop around and I have to have a buttered lamb. They have wonderful homemade pastries, desserts, meats and gifts. It takes a good part of your time to walk through there. I only go there around Easter time. It is out of the way in the city. It's been around for a long time and is a thing of the past. Its something you don't see around anymore. There use ... read more
You haven't lived until you've experiences the Broadway Market! This market has an "old country" charm. It's a wonderful experience. People from all over come just to see what it's all about. They have all kinds of bakery items, meats, dairy stands. It's a must experience, especially for Easter. My Gram used to take me there all the time but Easter wasn't Easter until we got everything from the Broadway Market! I remember going with my Gram sitting at the little restaurant.. So many people spoke polish and would start their ... read more
Broadway Market Going to the Broadway Market on Good Friday has been a tradition in my family for years and is something that I continue to do. They have an excellent variety of meats, pastries, candies and more. I buy all of my baked goods for Easter Sunday here. The prices and variety can't be beat!! This is a place I would frequent more often, if I lived closer.
Awesome Place!! Since 1888, the Broadway Market has been known for unique products and personal service, with more than 40 meat stands, poultry stands, produce counters, bakeries, delis, candy stands and restaurants. Family-owned businesses, passed from generation to generation, have created some of Buffalo's best loved foods. The market is open from 8 to 5 Mon-Sat. This is a great way of promoting local businesses, and you should support them in their cause. They also offer spaces for new businesses and their rents for that... read more
