I hired an e-bike to ride Queenstown-Arrowtown loop. The young bloke with all the tattoos and piercing (didnt get his name) was really helpful and explained everything, making the process a breeze. For anyone wanting to ride this loop, use the bike battery sparingly as it won’t last the whole way. I got to Arrowtown and only had 25% remaining. Turn it off on flat sections and just use it for uphill.
Rented an ebike with kids seat and had awesome experience. Aiden and the other guys (Thibaut??) we're super chilled and helpful. Happy to support small local businesses run by legends
Great experience with the guy who rented us the electric bikes. Be aware that these electric batteries only just last from Queenstown to Arrowtown so plan an alternative route back (book a bus ticket with bike rack slot for example), if you decide to choose that trail.
Bro Bike was the only place in Queenstown that didn’t blink when I asked for SPD pedals on an eMTB rental as I'd brought my MTB shoes over with me and haven't rode a bike without clipins in years, lifesaver!! The English bloke (forgot your name sorry!) was helpful as and hooked me up with solid trail recommendations. Rode the new Shotover Gorge trail via Arthurs Point, looped back through Tucker’s Beach and Twin Rivers – real good mix. Also did a cruisy loop out to Ayrburn, unreal countryside vibes. I’ve been to Brobike a few times now and every single time I’ve been helped in the kindest and most professional way. The staff take their time to explain everything clearly and with a lot of knowledge, they’re always incredibly friendly and helpful. You really feel well taken care of here. The value for money is excellent! I’m always happy to come back :)
