AVOID THESE THIEVES AT ALL COSTS. Firstly, we were told by a friend that we should contact Richard to create some documents for us and we were told he would give us a free consultation. When we had the phone call (no longer than 15 mins), Richard never once stated that he would charge us for the call (£100). Secondly, after giving us stupid prices (25% more than other solicitors) he Invoiced for services we never asked for and ignored formal dispute for the invoice. Then he raised a dispute with HMRC. This firm trebled their conveyancing fees at a very late stage and without notification. Sale proceeds are now confiscated until this unreasonable non negotiable demand is met. The ‘fixed fee’ therefore is entirely inaccurate. Please proceed with care if you do instruct.
Richard has acted on my behalf as well as for a number of clients. He's straightforward talking and professional yet makes you feel part of the process. He explains things so you understand them clearly and has a no nonsense attitude so resolving challenges.
