My wife's aunt lived here for over 3 years and it was a great place. She had Lewy Body Dementia and that is not an easy disease to manage. A lot of memory places won't even take Lewy Body patients. The staff was wonderful and so caring for our relative. They had a lot of activities to keep the patients engaged. As her health deteriorated, they moved her to an area with more hands on care and attention. They were supportive and genuinely cared for her until the very end. Bristol House Memory Care is where I would move my loved one to for memory care. It has always had a special place in my heart. The amazing family that built and still owns it are such great people and are there everyday. They do the right thing for the residents, families and staff. My aunt had Lewy Body Dementia. Even though this type of dementia is one of the most difficult, Bristol House memory care took such good care of my aunt. They all treated her with dignity during a very difficult time. The caregivers here are some of the kindest people. I’m very grateful that we found Bristol House! Many “memory care” facilities do not even take care of patients with Lewy body dementia because it is such a difficult type of dementia. Bristol House truly understands dementia in all of its forms.
