I booked a car on the company’s website. But when I arrived to pick it up, they told me that the car had already been given to another customer—even though we arrived on time. Then they told us they could give us a minivan. There were two of us, and we didn’t need a minivan at all. But we needed a car. So we didn’t have time to look for another one. I asked them if I could rent a car with my international driver's license, which was based on my Mexican driver's license. They said yes. When I was at the airport, they sent me an email and said, "The international/Mexico driver's license should be fine, but you still wouldn't be eligible to rent unless you have a primary driver in person with you to rent the vehicle on your behalf whose license is either a Canadian or US license."
