I visited my friend Bunny Bauer who is a BV resident. It's such a beautiful day we sat out in front in the rocking chairs. She seems content. Everyone there is always very pleasant and the gardeners are doing a good job cleaning up and preparing for spring.
Great company however this location is horrible. Also the residents have zero say so.
The staff in the memory care unit treated my husband with kindness, while still ensuring his safety. They preserved his dignity and granted him autonomy to the extent that he was able to use it. They enjoyed him, and they went above and beyond in their care. Tomika, Cecilia, and Saleema were his special favorites. They knew him so well that even though he had no language, they could tell what he needed or wanted.
