Good place to shop Briarwood Shopping Center is to the south of the university of michigan. It has convenient bus stops around the shopping center, so you can simply take buses to the blake transit center, and then transfer to wherever you want. they have several nice restaurants inside, so you don't have to worry when you get hungry while shopping. hope there will be more stores though.
Not too exciting If you're used to good shopping, Briarwood is not too exciting. They have basic necessities, but not too much variety or good deals. There are better malls in the Detroit suburbs and also good outlets near Frankenmuth.
Briarwood Mall This mall is ok. The large corner stores are Von Maur, Penny's, Marshall Fields and Sears. Stores seem to come and go quickly in this mall, at one point there wasn't even a Gap in the mall, but its back now. Prices are a little high. There is a Pub in the mall that has good food, as well as a Pizza place. Parking is good, depending on which side of the mall you want to enter, but you can always seem to find a spot.
Many choices This mall has many choices of stores. However, there are many stores that are pricey. There are many sales often throughout the mall and it is in a great location (just off of I-94). I really enjoy the pretzel peddler! PROS: Many choices CONS: Pricey
Definitely Working Hard to Draw Crowds Briarwood Mall has recently undergone so many changes for the better that it is now a destination mall worth shopping at. The addition of a playarea was a godsend for those mothers with young kids. Also, the recently revamped selection of stores has been amazing-- Gap/Gap Body/Baby Gap/Gap Kids, Pottery Barn, Banana Republic, enlarged William Sonoma, etc. What a great improvement from this same mall 2-3 years ago. small, but you can find something here This is not a very large shopping center. But it is good enough. There are Sears, Marshall fields in this shopping center. There are also some famous store like J.crew, Victoria's secret, Banana republic, Gaps here. If you are not interested in shopping, there are restaurants here. You can have a cup of coffee here and enjoy your saturday afternoon. The price is okay. You can always find discount store. It's a good place to walk around.
This is a great mall with everything you would need. THey have good stores and the mall is not too big.
