Pat's Foods as Cold as a U.P. Winter Pat's own a chain of stores in the W. U.P. which we rate a 3.5 overall on a 10 point scale. Not because some managers are perplexed because they won't carry the most important publication in the U.P. (The Great Lakes Pilot. Manager in Ontonogan snuck them in their mag rack last year, because people ask for them) or because the last time I was in Lanse, the owner insisted he didn't care about the publication nor the lower peninsula people (they are the U.P.s bread and butter) picking it up... read more

Pat's Foods in L'anse Many of the store employees are very friendly, but a few have terrible attitudes and vulgar language. For a small town store, it has many items to choose from. Their produce freshness has something to be desired.

grocerys My experience at Pats was satisfactory. It was not as clean as I would like to see a store, but I was able to purchase what I needed. They only had two cashiers and the wait was long. I would of rather gone to a bigger chain.

Pat's Foods-Calumet I absolutely love shopping at Pat's in Calumet! From the moment you walk in the store, you feel right at home. The staff is very friendly, as well as the store manager, and the store is always kept clean. I love the fresh produce, variety in the deli and bakery, and the freshest cuts of meat. Their prices are always very competitive also. They also carry a wide variety of wine/beer and if they don't have something you are looking forin any dept., they are happy to get it in for you. A NICE GROCERY STORE FOR A SMALL TOWN PAT'S FOOD'S IS A NICE GROCERY STORE AND THE LARGEST ONE SERVING THE BARAGA, L'ANSE AREA. THEY CARRY EVERYTHING A LARGE GROCERY STORE WOULD CARRY EXCEPT IN SMALLER QUANTIES. YOU MAY NOT FIND SOME OF THE SPECIALTY ITEMS, BUT THE STAPLES ARE DEFINITELY THERE. THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A NEW STORE IN DOWNTOWN L'ANSE WHICH WILL HELP THE ECONOMY OF THE AREA A LOT. THE STORE IS CLEAN, CLERKS ARE FRIENDLY, AND MEAT SELECTION IS GREAT.
