We needed some bikes to explore Tamalpais and the good guys at Breaking Away had us rolling at a super fair price and even allowed us to return the bikes after closing hours. Thanks!
Just when you thought it couldn't be worse than the previous ownership (and mechanic) it got worse! This bike shop will have a for lease sign here in no time. No one knows what they are doing. Terrible. Never forget when the interim bike mechanic told me he was able to see my brake pads from 10 feet away. I knew right then and there it was time to move on. Counting down: For Lease!
Very friendly and helpful staff. I stopped in on a riding while riding a bike that I’d rented from another shop. The owner offered to look over my bike and make sure it was all functioning correctly. Was very accommodating and had a lot of helpful information. Gave me a water bottle and water and sent me on my way. Great shop!
Apparently the 'Rick Show' is gone. Good to have our LBS back...
I had a great experience with Breaking Away. Oliver was great and really helped me out when I needed a bike rental in a pinch. Highly recommend.
