Isn't it required to wash your hands and use gloves when administering medications? Isn't this the one policy HCA has worked so hard to make staff compliant in? I have a proof one of your ER RNs administering an IV push without gloves. Smdh
every time me or one of my family members need to got o BRH it's always a great experience.
I got there at 10 am with horrible pain in my stomach. they took blood and put the Iv with no fluids. I was on a bed in the hallway and new patients will come in and go to the empty rooms. It took 3 hrs for the dr to give me some pain med that didn't work at all. I was screaming in pain and nurses will just walk by and ignore me. 2 more hrs and they did an ultrasound and a CT scan. the tech was so rude. I really hate this hospital. My first time in an ER and I had the worst experience ever! December 2014 I arrived to the ER bleeding and with the most terrible pain, I was losing my baby, but because I came in ambulatory and not in an ambulance it was not considered a real emergency. (Staff exact words)... After a couple hours waiting they put me in a stretch in the hallway... yes the hallway!... Everything that the other patients have written is so very true about the ER from the first time you walk in , from the time you leave there. When is someone going to step up take charge of this Hospital and do something about the Staff who gives you the " I don't care attutide " theses people are trained professionals acting like no experience what so ever no people skills. My fiancé went in with chest pain and after almost 5 hours of waiting still had not seen a doctor or been placed in a room. Most disappointing service imaginable and I thought UCH ( Florida Hospital) was bad. Absolutely no sense of urgency at all. All the staff seemed as if it was nothing more then a paycheck, no passion for healthcare or the patients. Brandon hospital stop thinking business aspects and start focusing on the patients because without them you'll wont have a business much longer
So I go in for extreme lower back pain, within 15 min they triaged me, followed by giving me an iv, and ct scans. Then just sat in the waiting room for 4 hours (IV still in) before a nurse came and asked me if I wouldn't mind waiting another 3 to 4 hours because the ER and hospital were full... I was livid, and in extreme pain, so ended up leaving, and went to tgh. Was seen and in the back in less than 20 min to find out I slipped a disc and had a pinched nerve. Went in with lower back pain about three thirty. Jan 25,2016 iv needle was put in my arms no fluides. Jerk messed up my vain. Then did blood work after two hrs or so. Another hr later urine three hrs later ctscan. All this time i waitted for my results. They new i needed anitibiotics while i laid in the er hallway. No private rm n they had some avaible catching more sick pplz germs. Not once did the put me on iv fluides or start me on antibiotics. Wasnt till i started to yell already pist off.
