I have been here almost a week. I have to say tje staff was excellent. I was amazed that not one person was bad. All the doctors that cared for me were awesome. The nurses were beyond great. I had one nurse i would trust with my life, her name is Shiny. There was Darnell who was an angel. And a sweet young girl named Janellee. I can never show how much i appreciate their care. Thanks so very much. Thanks also to Patty, Emily, Lucy a few more of the awesome staff.
NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE will I step foot in here again! I have been in this ER FOR 6 hours! Not to mention that they have poked me over 4 times just to get some blood when they had enough in the beginning! I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and I came regarding spotting that really concerned me. They treated the nature of my emergency as irrelevant (Flag #1). So listen ... (this might be a liiil lengthy lol so BRACE YASELVES !!!) I went to Brandon Hospital cuz it was close. Now I NEVER hear ANYTHING good about this hospital, however, last time I was here for my second surgery, it wasn't that bad (yet still, Tampa General is like HEAVEN compared to this place) so I decided to return and take advantage of the short commute. The ER is a joke! Waiting 3 hours, have been taken out of the waiting room and put back in 4 times and I can tell you the name and date of birth of 4 patients waiting with me, an stage social security number of two of them. Can we say HIPPA???? People have been taken back, given IV's and sent back to the waiting room to wait with the IV in. Not a single person in the ER area has shown to give a damn about what's going on in the waiting room or with patients. I was seen there to get checked for a blood clot before I got on a flight back to my home in Oregon. They didn't understand my insurance so instead of doing their job and figuring out how to bill them they billed me instead. I called my insurance and they said they weren't billed and to have the hospital contact them and gave me a number to give them, so I did just that. Got ahold of billing and gave them the number. Recently had my baby here and the staff was AMAZING! they were prompt and caring. Food was good and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely recommend it! The billing Dept, NOT so much! Pls have in mind new mommies need to rest and not get phone calls 4 hrs after delivery for questions ! In general, great experience.
Its very beautiful and clean, but did think the wait to see an actual Dr took too long. Didnt stop my care by the attentive nurses, but would have at least liked to see the Dr before I started receiving care that they ordered without seeing me. But the Drs are all wonderful.
From the time we camd into the ED, PACU, emergent Endo,Pedi ICU Enviromental service, and last but no least, Valet parking.....(we are still there) You guys rock .....every single one of you :-) Thank you ALL !
