Absolutely hands down worst rental realty company i have ever dealt with. To start off, there was hundreds of dollars worth of fees such as cleaning etc. My girlfriend and I and our dog arrived Friday evening and we were using phone flash lights to safely walk up the stairs because the lighting is horrible outside. Will never use Hatteras Realty again! We have used them for years and every time, we have to spend several hours cleaning due to the cleaning crews not doing their job properly, they have been informed of this every time & it never changes. This recent trip Oct 4-11, we stayed in Buxton at Pirates Light #73B. This house should have NEVER been rented! It was beyond disgusting and the photos online must be from years ago, when it was new. The worst realtor in the Outer Banks. Hands down. I have been renting houses for 25+ years and will never use this company again. When I booked the house I put it through to pay in full. I was charged a $25 credit card fee. They only took a couple hundred dollars payment. I put through the remainder through when appropriate and they charged me $25 again. (with no permission.) Then a full 8 weeks after leaving I receive a notice dated from 6 weeks after leaving that there was a spot on the carpet and they want me to pay ... read more
