When your car makes a terrible grinding sound every time you step on the brakes, it's probably time to change your brake pads! I called Friday morning to see if I needed to make an appointment. They got me in immediately that day. I came in a little before noon, and they took a look at it right away. The guy told me that only my front pads needed to be replaced, and that my back ones actually had a long way to go. Good to know and happy they didn't try to dupe me! I made the apointment, dropped it off. Called me aproximatley 30min later to let me know front rotors were warped. They were unable to turn them so i needed to buy new rotors.2007 - f150 with 34000 miles, 2 wd Estimate was made for the repair, 4 hours later i was called it was done. Returned to find out the estimate was lower than needed for the repair. Cost of rotors were much higher than estimated with extra nuts, which were needed. Not much to report besides that things went smoothly. Made the appiontment, took the car in, got the brakes replaced, paid a decently low bill, and I was on my way with quiet brakes. Problem solved.
When my brakes started to go out and started to screech, I started calling around to get them replaced. I called Tires Plus and almost fell over when they quoted me $235. For something as simple and routine as brakes, I couldn't believe they'd even try to charge that much. Luckily, I had the sense to call around. I landed on Brakes for Less and they offered a 4-wheel package for $150ish. They were able to fit me in the following day. I'm really happy with this place. They adhered to the $99 brake job, the quality is up to par, they got me in quickly, and waiting time was pretty minimal.
