This location was good until they decided to charge me twice the amount as compared to four other local Brake Check shops and their competitors. I worked with Chris (store director) and Jason (manager) at this store. I paid $1,017 to replace both rear shocks of my vehicle. Was speaking to a friend and he said I paid way too much for it. I called and got quotes from four other Brake Check stores and four competitors in the area. The quotes I received for parts and labor (before taxes) were from $435 to $620. Been taking my truck to brake check for oil changes for the past 6 years. In October I was told they stripped the threads on oil pan and they would fix the issue. Started to see oil in my driveway took it to to the shop and was told I have a leak from my pan and the way they fixed my vehicle was a "temporary fix." Went back to brake check and was told even though they caused the damage they will not cover the cost of repair it cause the mileage on my truck and it is to be expected to have some sort of damage. I went to a local dealership to work on my car and they discovered that I needed an engine filter and an in-cabin filter. The dealership price for both filters was $180. I left the dealership and immediately drove to Brake and Tire Check. They completed the work very quickly, and the price was $100 less. In this economy, saving money on car repairs is a big deal. Once again, I recommend this company to everyone!
