During my visit to this retirement home in the afternoon, one thing stood out immediately. Every time a resident pressed the call bell, it rang loudly throughout the entire building. It wasn’t just audible nearby. It seemed loud enough that everyone could hear it. It honestly made me wonder why the system needs to be this loud. Couldn’t the call bells be directed to the nursing station or staff pagers instead of sounding throughout the building? Just save yourself the waste in time and walk away. Don’t even apply here. Brutal. Always short. Hardly anyone speaks well enough English who is a Nurse or management team member other than maybe 2 people. Nurses snapping fingers and directing on floor workers like they are garbage at their disposal. Management in the Directors positions say they will address something and do not follow through with action. Just hit the ground running and do not look back!
