The STAFF do not have to help. These men and women who have the power over your life are barking orders. Intake staff very young and have will make up some bizarre excuse to kick you out. Boulder Shelter for the Homeless is a safe haven for criminals. I had property stolen there, and I saw another person with my property. Shelter staff did absolutely nothing. A staff person who goes by "Erin" simply shook her head at me, when I reported it. Another time, a male began touching himself inappropriately in the shelter yard. I reported it; and shelter staff said, "Next time it happens, tell us right away."
