I read about a survivor being ignored by this organization on Reddit and decided to share my own experience, I was raped in October 2025. I went to the hospital to get a rape kit and do everything that I was suppose to do. In February 2026 I reached out to BARCC because the police basically ghosted me and I felt that I needed an advocate because the investigation seemed to be going nowhere. Completely useless of an organization. Same issues as every single other person. Not sure why morale is so low in this organization because everyone I talked to sounded miserable working there and helping clients is some sort of a burden to them. This is the type of organization that been around for too long and feel that their years alone would keep the money coming in. BARCC employees have been instructed to ignore the negative reviews and to 'hide' all comments on social media that question leadership. Instead of taking a proactive role in making sure that every survivor is heard and supported, the Executive Director feel that survivors speaking about their personal experience is an "attack" on BARCC. They even went on an attack against another organization that has been picking up where BARCC has failed instead of choosing to coloborate with them.
