In January 2024, a woman I was dating from Seaport digitally penetrated me without my consent. I tried calling this number for help and was hung up on me three times in a row. I was suffering internally due to what happened to me. To this day, I question my sexuality on a frequent basis.
I called the hotline in October. I was told that I would receive a phone call back 24-48 business hours. I waited for about five days and I called the number that they gave me. I was told that they has no record of me calling so I repeated what I needed. She said that she would call me "right back." Three days passed and no call back so I called back to followup. Very unprofessional. Unfortunately this is a very poorly run organization. Same issues as everyone else. I would not recommend this if you are looking for support. Shame on these people.
I had the same issues as so many. The folks at the hotline were great. The staff that followed up to my inquiry were rude, dismissive, and lack any sort of understanding to trauma. They told me to stop calling them (I called three times within a 5 week period so far from repetitive) and told me that I am probably the problem.
Terrible. I called them three times and they did not return my calls after over a month. They need to realize that it takes a lot for someone to make the initial call to ask for help. They left me feeling like I didn’t matter or my trauma wasn’t a priority to them.
