Always fun to go see and feed the fish. Animal conservation and husbandry is fascinating to me. Also, seeing Herman is always mind blowing. He really is a sight to behold. I've been deep-sea fishing and he's bigger than anything I've ever pulled up. The gift shoppe also features tons of local artist's goods. Definitely recommend getting a sweet treat while you're there. Parking can be tricky in the summer, would say to go during the week or in the fall.
Loved it! The Bonneville Lock and Dam and its Fish Hatchery are classic local highlights, especially for visitors from abroad who want to see our iconic salmon, gorgeous river views, and Herman the Sturgeon.
