Lara is a wonderful massage practitioner with excellent skills. She has extensive experience, and a very intuitive touch. Her modalities are not the standard Western Swedish/Esalen type you typically find in franchise massage studios. Rather, she specializes in Eastern modalities, such as Thai massage and shiatsu. There's nothing wrong with Swedish/Esalen massage, especially for relaxation purposes. I have had two sessions of Shiatsu with Lara and I am so pleased to have found her as a practitioner. The first season I fell deep asleep at one point, but later that evening had noticeable energy and clarity of mind. The second session (yesterday) I asked for work on my knee that I had hurt at the gym about 3 weeks ago. My knee had been swollen and painful for ten days or so. It was really wearing me down.
