Sent my Hop Rod pogo stick for restoration on 4-11-16 and paid a deposit of $1250.00 to start work my last contact with them was from Bob Halliday on 1-6-17 by email saying that it would be done in about a month. Never heard back from them when I tried to contact them by phone found the line was no longer in service sent them several emails and got no response. Overall experience was bad. There was little if anything positive in this experience: TIME-They took twice as long to do it as they told us they would QUALITY- was slightly above amateur (may be why they are on the DIY channel) PRICE- slightly above other estimates but since they were closer we chose them CUSTOMER SERVICE-Very bad. Disappointing Quality and Poor Customer Service :-( Approximately 1 year ago, for my 50th birthday, my brother ordered a replica gas pump from Bob's Garage as a surprise gift. After 12 weeks it finally arrived. Parts and pieces broken, Paint peeling and overspray abound. Metal forming is amateurish, metal breaks poorly executed. Recently I took a 1959 Philco Stereophonic record player to Bob’s Garage for restoration after searching for nearly three months unsuccessfully for a shop that could restore such an antiquated record player. Bob and his staff were consummate professionals and quickly identified my needs.
