John was super cool and answered all our questions. Place has most of everything you’ll need and off season hours are great.

Worst experience I've had trying to get into a hobby. The two chubbs at the front desk clearly were too self important to waste any time explaining any of the rigs, weights or bait i would need for the type of fishing I was doing. Ended up selling me the incorrect bait at an exorbitant price. 1/10 - if your in the tourism or hobby business, you should probably act enthusiastic and like you care about providing accurate information to your customer base.
The staff here were extremely helpful with me getting set up to go fish for some shark. The only place to go for tackle and bait in obx.
Picked up a rod and real combo, helpful staff, recommend. I don't know much about ocean fishing but they helped me get some basics.
