When I went into the office looking for an attorney, I was told a $3,000 retainer would cover the costs of my case and was told I should expect a partial refund. This was far from the truth. They attempted to bill me for almost double what they told me it would be. Had a lengthy phone call on 7/8/2025 and they agreed to adjust the charges to give me a $0 balance after taking my entire $3,000 retainer. I have no idea if she’s a good lawyer, but she’s definitely a one-star human being. She briefly represented my ex-husband before dropping him due to his behavior (shocking!). He was an abusive addict, and when our daughter was 7 months old, I filed for divorce. Lauraleen claimed I had post-partum depression (which I truthfully and thankfully never experienced). $30k spent to absolutely get destroyed in court due to a severe lack of preparation. None of my evidence that I paid almost 10k to have prepared was able to be used. Why not? Because this law firm didn't read the pre trial orders... I can't help but think this was on purpose. Update- the only evidence you successfully submitted was a dra that was outdated.
