I recently applied to rent an apartment with Boardwalk Rental Communities. The application process required a $799 deposit upfront before they would process my application. Unfortunately, my application was declined, which I understand can happen. My concern is the refund process. Bed bugs. Irresponsible team. Absolute nightmare. 1. Bed bug infestation and cover-up Within a week of moving in, I was covered in bed bug bites. When I complained, management immediately dismissed it in a very rude manner and gaslit me. “No, it’s impossible.” I was told. No sympathy whatsoever. Neighbors later told me the previous tenants completely trashed the place, which explained the pesticide boxes I found in the yard.
