BMO has horrible customer service, uncompetitive interest rates, lousy online banking. If you need to call in with an issue, be prepared to spend most of your day being shuffled around. Nobody seems to care at BMO. Their credit card operation is substandard as well. Steer clear! Plenty of other choices - go elsewhere.
Cancelled my card after having it since 1993 ( it was M&I Bank back then.) NEVER paid late or utilized more than 25% of my limit and they completely cancelled it w/o warning. Only received a notice in the mail 12 days AFTER they cancelled my card. Had a few automatic payments set up with the card and those went UNPAID without my knowledge and caused issues and late fees with other service providers.
