I have to opine here due to seeing so many negative comments. Being a BMO Bank, NA customer for close to 17 years, I have had nothing but a positive experience at the Lincolnwood branch. None of the views I read explicitly mention the name of either a teller or personal banker. Therefore, my skepticism is high.
Walked in to open an account and was told “I’m busy, you can wait a few hours or go to another branch.” The woman at the counter also yelled at the client ahead of me. I would not recommend this branch of BMO to a customer.
This bank is actually horrible. I would give zero stars. One worker was absolutely rude when asking where I could get a malware scan in order to use my digital banking, basically telling me that they can’t help and I needed to figure it out myself. I was able to call customer service and get it resolved without the scan in minutes. I also wanted to close my account as they had me going on a goose chase to get a malware scan that Apple, Best Buy, and my cell phone carrier cannot do. Very bad bank and the service is not good at all. I opened a personal account and saved a very good amount in addition to my full-time job. I have an additional income from food delivery. The first time I added a check, the bank added the full check to my account. Two days later, they took the check value again with the excuse that there was no balance.
