A few years back we ordered several thousand dollars of Mexican pesos to be delivered to the downtown branch. In Mexico we discovered we had about $35 worth of Czech corunas mixed in with the pesos. When we returned it took a long time at the branch to finally receive a refund for the corunas we returned. I told the employee that it was the principle of it more than all the time it took to get a $35 refund. This is the old Southwest Bank location. The scene of a famous bank robbery in 1953. It was portrayed in a movie in 1958, starring Steve McQueen in his first big role.
Not only did it take 6 months for them to fix the mistake they made setting up my online banking. But now that it is finally fixed it turns out they closed my savings account due to inactivity. Even though it was inactive because I couldn’t get online and transfer money into it. This is hands down the worst financial institution and business. They have no concern for y clients and shady business practices. Do yourself a favor and keep on driving to literally any other bank. BMO doesn’t value your business.
