I’ve been reaching out to them since January this year to set my account on auto pay and they keep delaying it. Last time I called “Charmayne Willis” the person in charge of my account asking for a call back, which I never got back and now because of her delays calling me back I owe $500 plus in late fees. BMO is the worst bank I have ever experienced. They approved a loan, but wouldn't approve a bank account for me because my drivers license address wasn't updated. How nonsensical is it to approve a loan but not a bank account?!? I am trying to pay the loan off early but I am told I have to call or chat with customer service every time I want to pay extra on the principal so they can apply it. What a waste of time! What really exposes how bad BMO is: they don’t even ask for feedback after customer service calls. Almost every company does, BMO doesn’t. No surveys, no follow-up, no accountability. When no one is measured and no one is held responsible, there is zero incentive to improve. And it shows in every interaction. This isn’t bad service once in a while, it’s systemic.
