BMO issued a financial approval letter for a home buyer and the property sale firmed up pending closing date. Just 5 days prior to closing date we find out they are pulling out from financing it due to their “insurer”. It is my understanding that they should run a deal through their insurer PRIOR to issuing letters of approval. This is not ok for them to do this to a buyer and seller and I won’t be recommending BMO for financing homes when they pull out of deals at the last minute after approving financing and issuing letter... read more
I had an appointment with Bmo staff Kanav Vermani. I went for meeting and I found out he has lack of knowledge about Bank sector, not friendly, bad communication skills. Specifically I asked for some of my documents print out as a proof of my investment, but he feels annoyed when I asked those documents print out. Also I asked envelopes for covering my documents but he said he has no envelopes but I saw lots of envelope beside his desk. Very disappointing for his service.
