RIVERS EDGE, DOES NOT DELIVER! – I visited my mother and was appalled at how the community has deteriorated ! The food is a crime, over cooked slop.. you get better food in a grade school cafeteria! Ever hear of "deep fried" liver and onions?? Tapioca pudding that has been scorched... is served anyway... corn bread that resembles a hardtack hockey puck is expected to be excepted as fine dining. The food (if you can call it that) is served with the same finesse as your best food line in your local lock up! the health score is... read more

excellant safe environment for retirees – great place for my father in law to live safely and yet retain some of his independance. he has a very nice 1 bedroom apartment. All meals included, good food, all utilities included except for phone. He contracts with Comfort Keepers, that are always on site, for assistance with care and medications. He gets excellant care, a beautiful enviroment, free transportation via the Wescourt bus, daily activities and managers on site 24 hours in case of emergencies. Every employee that we h... read more

FANTASTIC INDEPENDENT LIVING!!! – My mom lives here and I can't say enough about these people!! They go out of their way to make everyone feel at home and socialize with others. Mom has made many new friends and loves the group excursions, even tho she still drives and can do her own thing! It seems everything has been thought of to meet the needs of active retirees, great food, beautiful building. All of the staff has the time to smile and listen! to mom even with just a greeting, it made the transition in this stage of her... read more

A tiny creek meanders along the main path. There is a rose garden on your left, a vegetable patch on the right. The small pond is home to a flock of friendly ducks. Several b... read more

Port Huron Resident – Socialization at the Lodge is most important for my mom. She was depressed, not having much pleasure from life I moved her into the Lodge and she's a new person. The routine of 3 chef prepared meals each day has helped her with nutrition.
