This has got to be the worst insurance company I have ever had to work with in my adult life. I have worked with other Blue Cross Blue Shields that are top notch, but this one is god awful. I have a plan through the Maine Insurance Marketplace because my current employer does not offer benefits. I thought getting a silver plan, which they tout to have the best benefits for the cost would be decent, but i was dead wrong. They fight you tooth and nail on everything you need. This company is the absolute worse to deal with.
Worst experience I've ever had with a company of any sort. Refuse all claims one deductible is met. State should not let them operate in Maine. Would give them negative stars if possible
My insurance is really good! On paper. However, they overcharge for everything, probably to make money for shareholders? Anyways, my prescription copay today was $72.00 through my insurance. But I ALWAYS get a cheaper price with the grocery store's COUPON, which brought it down to $31.00. Why is this? Why the hell do I even pay for insurance? I still can't afford anything with this inhumane, unnecessarily privatized "benefit" that I only have access to if I'm a wage slave.
It is next to impossible to access or find your claims online on the member services portal. The site itself is not user-friendly, intuitive, or helpful.
