I'm not sure why I lived in Hingham for eleven years and on the south shore for twenty and this was my first time in the Bloomy Rind. It had been recommended to me several times. Just never went until today. I had some work to do through a late lunch, so I stopped in around 2:00 PM. There was enough seating for me to eat and work, though it is limited. Really great homemade food.
I came for the cheese & left with my heart's desire. The Bloomy Rind is an oh-so-special cheese shop with old world ambience reminiscent of the neighborhood groceria from my time in Europe, complete with homey aromas & local color. Mary, the proprietess knew the regulars by name, inquiring about their families as though they were old friends, intermittently calling to our attention the appetizing specials on display on the crowded counter, while customers waited patiently, smiling knowingly. Truly and honestly. Way at this place. For the love of good people that honestly are family, instantly. This place opened their arms to every person that steps into the door. Ask the food looks to be directly made for a TV level presentation on the Italian table. I know this is hands down the best place to eat. Ever
