As a cooperative, we are owned by our members. So when you become a member of Bloom Credit Union, you become an owner in an organization that is supervised by a democratically-elected board of directors. They are unpaid volunteers who represent the interests of their fellow members, as opposed to commercial banks who are obligated to act in the best interests of their shareholders. That’s why you'll find a refreshing commitment to advocate in your best interests, while providing you with services to better manage your ... read more

I want to give a shout out to Kinda for being such a huge help today! With Bloom and WMCU merging, I can only imagine what the employees are dealing with, especially with the thousands of people they service. So I have been understanding with some of the temporary inconveniences that have come along in the process. I was dealing with WMCU near home the last 3 weeks before reaching out to Bloom (my old branch) for some help. I won’t get into all of the details because it’s long, but I believe Kinda should be recognized for he... read more
I unfortunately have to change my once-glowing 5-star review. Before the merger, Bloom felt trustworthy and genuinely cared. After the merger? I wouldn’t trust them to manage my Scooby Snacks, let alone my finances. There’s a clear lack of staff empathy. I’d strongly suggest taking your financials elsewhere—Bloom is no longer the place.
After 35 years of being a loyal customer I’m done they have gone down hill since the merger. Called and ordered a new debit card I’ve been waiting weeks. To find out today they never complete the order.
Ever since they decided to merge with another credit union, everything has gone to hell. I've been trying to get a new debit card as mine has completely stopped working. All I get is excuses. Now evidently the only person that can do that in the entire credit union is on friggin vacation. After 20 plus years of being a customer here I'm looking at moving everything to another bank or credit union. If you want frustration and limited access to your own money, this is the nightmare for you.
Card activation is a circus. If you're not the primary account holder on a joint account, the credit union literally will not help you. Activation is outsourced to somewhere that is VERY unfriendly to those of us who have difficulty hearing. Insurance verification is also outsourced, so if your insurance company sent proof of insurance to Bloom CU, expect a vaguely threatening letter from Texas. I would suggest a new motto of "At least we ain't Fifth Third!"
