AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Came in on 4/4 to file taxes. Took all my information and corresponded with Isaac over a week. Tax day comes and they completely ignore several calls and emails, never end up filing my taxes. Called manager Ayanna the next day and she said my bill was $800 to file the taxes; would not be reduced despite me incurring thousands of expenses over the late filing. As other have said, they aren't breally upfront in their pricing a pretty basic 1040 they were trying to bill me ~$400. When you can go to the Free VITA services or or do it online through TurboTax and pay a much smaller fee. Also even when there was an attempt after the preparation was done, the front desk person just went home. So the preparer couldn't even process the payment because he didn't have the login credentials. Then the front desk person called me about payment and I told him to just destroy the documents. Dropped off my documents in early February because this sort of stuff makes me nervous and I like the peace of mind of getting it over with. It’s April 4th and they haven’t filed it yet. Have called the office, spoken to different people at the front desk, no one was sure about the status of my documents. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. If you care about your hard-earned money, I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. When I arrived, the person at the front desk provided me with misleading information regarding the service fee. I was initially informed that, because I was single and had no dependents, my total fee would be $150 to $200.
