My mother had a very frustrating experience with Raymond Schein as her tax advisor and wants to warn others to carefully review their returns if they use him. During their meeting he verbally confirmed numbers with her, but when she later reviewed the completed return, she noticed that the amounts entered were cut in half! When she tried including her charitable donations, he told her that donations are done “from the goodness of someone’s heart,” implying they shouldn’t be included as deductions. How absurd!
