I had an incredible experience working with Carter at Black’s Cycle in Comox. I’d been searching all over Canada for a Forbidden Druid Core 1 build ever since Forbidden announced their first e-bike at the Sea Otter Classic. I contacted almost every Forbidden retailer in the country — Carter was one of the few who got back to me, and he did so promptly in mid-July, promising to get me a Core 1 build on the first delivery. Very knowledgeable staff and great service when I took my ebike in for servicing. Highly recommend this shop.
This is not a review about their products but of customer service. I prepaid for a rim then changed my mind and bought a bike. and decided to return this rim that did not even leave the store and remained in the employees possession and in original packaging the whole time. The return was denied for "store credit only". This was a readily available in stock rim that was not a special order. First time there, last time there.
Big thank you to the boys at Black's for fitting me in to fix the rear flat on my e-bike. We had just arrived in town with our motorhome and the bikes are our only transport once we are set up at the RV park. They had us on our way in a little over an hour and were all a real pleasure to deal with. It is immediately obvious that this is an extremely well run and professional shop staffed and operated by people that all take pride in doing great work and helping their customers.
