Ed Farmer has recently undertaken 2 house surveys for me. I chose Black Cat because Ed had been recommended on “”We love Redhill” Facebook page. I was impressed by the quality of the survey report and the numerous photographs which accompanied it. This gave me views of guttering, roof, areas of concern, etc. The report was thorough and covered every aspect of the house, including issues of safety (need for alarms, extractor fans). Ed came to my maisonette today for a level 2 survey, I found Ed to be very nice and forthcoming. He corrected me on some information I was told about my property before, which wasn't accurate, and explained his reasoning. I found his prices to be very competitive, his attitude was brilliant, and his knowledge appeared to be very vast. Highly recomended.

Ed was extremely helpful and thorough with his building survey. He is very detail-oriented and highly skilled, and his reports are rich with suggestions on how to improve the property and avoid safety hazards. You can tell that he does his job with passion, honesty and dedication, plus his prices are fair. If I were to do it again, I would certainly contact Ed :)

While I didn't end up booking a survey with Ed for various reasons, Black Cat were completely transparent with their discussions, pricing and details- providing a consummate service that really is second to none. With the issue I had, Ed took the time to talk me through exactly how I'll need a structural engineer for my issue and how the insurance works for this. Really appreciated the advice!
