Hired for 35 days good car well equipped great support with minimal problems and we traveled the canning stock route
We spent a month Red Dirt touring the outback.what a fantastic trip!. The Toyotas were great. they had everything we needed except free beer.The rooftop tents worked great especially when I put the spare mattress provided in it .suspension was surprisingly good and we got satellite internet nearly every where we went. Insects loved Kiwi blood so be aware and use lots of spray!
Our vehicles, 3 of them, were well presented and the pre trip briefing was informative and full of useful information. We traveled just under 10000 KS and the trucks held up well under all types of conditions. The starlink internet was brilliant and very reliable given a clear view to satellites and it kept us in touch with home. Thanks for enabling some wonderful memories Bivouac Adventures!.
Across the Nullarbor and more --- We rented a 4WD truck-camper from Bivouac Adventures in May 2026. We picked it up in Adelaide drove it to Perth over the next 2 plus weeks. Our travels took us mostly along the coast to numerous National Parks, along 4WD tracks, and into some 4WD campsites. The trip was great. What an unforgettable adventure driving from Broome to Cairns in these amazing Toyota hilux’s all fully equipped with rooftop tent, sleeping bags and all bedding, awning, table and chairs, fridge/freezer, solar panels, starlink and all kitchen utensils, basically everything you could think of and need and some. Just reached Cairns after after a 10 day road trip across the top end from Broome with friends in 3 of these amazing vehicles … wow … what an experience and great way to travel and really experience the Australian out... read more
