My favorite quilting store makes it worthwhile to drive from Lexington… Beautiful fabrics and expert personnel, a great combination.
Birdsong Quilting had to be the best quilt shop we visited on our trip south. They had unusual quilting notions, quilt decor and goodies including painted sewing machines that looked like they came from the factory that way. Can you imaging owning a Purple Singer?.The person who did the displays had so many great ideas. I took pictures so I could use the ideas in my sewing room. I walked in this shop 2 people were working 1 other customer in the shop besides my daughter and myself they never asked if they could help either one of us. We made 2 passes around the shop commenting to ourselves about the beautiful fabric, still no one said a word to us. We walked over to the fabric I was wanting to purchase then I started back to I’m assuming the owner and asked what was the smallest cut she sold ( I wanted 30 pieces) she answered my question but still didn’t ask to help me.
