We went for a private tour and it was absolutely spectacular! Our hotel was booked on the day that we needed to go, and boy we feel blessed that they were booked and instead found Birds Underwater to take us! We have gone with another company for Manatee swimming on two other occasions in prior years and are so grateful that this time we went with Birds Underwater! RecommendedSwimming with the manatees was a bucket list for my daughter and I. We braved the cold and Captain Glenn took us on a swim of a lifetime! It was amazing and exceeded our expectations. My love and appreciation for these lovable creatures has multiplied. Thank you Captain Glenn!!!🍩☕️

Highly recommend! Captain and guide were extremely knowledgable and made our private tour worthwhile! Cannot thank them enough.
Great experience this last weekend. Our instructor, Jeff is experienced, stressed safety, and kept it fun. Many good stories shared from his life under the water. Blue Grotto was unique. The drift dive down the Rainbow River was amazing. I can’t remember a more fun dive. Gliding up and down through shallow canyons of evanescent fields of shifting greens, bubbling springs and cave entrances. Thank you 😃. Best/M

Great experience with Bird’s Underwater. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the manatees. We swam with 3 manatees and got many great videos up close with them on our GoPro. Would totally recommend this tour for anyone who’s looking for an awesome experience in the Crystal River area!

Andrew and Jasmone were awesome guides! They took us to a cove with a preggo manatee, a mom manatee, and a baby. Jasmone even took my 5 year old over so he could get closer to the manatee and helped him overcome his fear of them. Andrew was friendly and gave a lot of information on manatees and the area. I would definitely come again!

Had a great day observing a pregnant manatee feeding with some humorous commentary along the way. Will definitely be coming back in the cooler months when more manatees are in the springs.
