I love our Courthouse! It's so bright and open! The people who work in each of the departments are kind and helpful. They make everything so easy.
Assessor goes for the high value rather than the actual value of the property. When paperwork is sent out they do not attach their phone number to make it harder for those who have questions. When you do make contact they make things harder to understand They have a short time frame to file appeals which amounts to about 3 weeks after you get an assessment notice that has limited information even by their own admission. Transparency is not a high priority with those who tax without representation.
