Mr. I just want to say that San Luis Sourdough bread is the best I have ever eaten. I've tried several other brands and they do not have the texture or taste that San Luis has.

San Luis Obispo Sourdough Bread San Luis Obispo Sourdough was once the premier sourdough bread. They are now part of Sara Lee and Sara Lee is part of BIMBO Bakeries. Getting the picture yet?
Consumer I have always loved this bread. All kinds are wonderful - -however the last three loaves I have noticed the quality is not as good. Not very sour and the texture is just like all white bread. Plus it is over $4.00 so it should still be of good quality. I hope it is just a glitch because I always find a store that carries San Luis Sourdough to do my shopping. If the quality does not continue it does not matter where I shop as I will try another sourdough.
Tricia This is our favorite bread. The cracked wheat is the best of the best!! Keep up the good work. We are from Oregon and we need it on the coast here. Please send some to the Fred Meyer up here and I would be a happy person.
The only bread I buy! This is the BEST bread, especially the Cracked Whole Wheat. I buy loaves at a time and put them in the freezer so I won't run out. We just did our Thanksgiving dinner for 20 on Saturday and I used it for my Sourdough Sausage Stuffing (Cooking Light, Nov 2010) and it made THE BEST STUFFING EVER! I also used it for my Orange Marmalade Baked French Toast on Sunday...JUST FABULOUS!
