Best Shop in Town Being a new cyclist in town, I wanted to find a bike shop with a good atmosphere and fast/reliable service. The Bike Station was a bit out of the way for me, but after several people recommended the shop, I decided to check it out. I can see why this place gets such high praise - a super friendly laid back shop that provides great service and a sweet selection of bikes. I'm happy to call Bike Station Aptos "my bike shop"
A great addition to the Aptos community Bike Station is an awesome little shop, with a knowledgeable team of men and women. They're not only supportive of my cycling goals, but provide encouragement, smiles, and even an espresso if i need a little something extra to get out on the road or dirt for a training ride. A little secret - espresso time is at 3 pm most days. Show up, and you just might get some good advise and a spot of caffeine!
Your Neighborhood UN-Friendly Shop Small, Unique Niche market this should be a formula for an outstanding bike shop. First off everything you might want needs to be special ordered. The Mechanic and sales person are friendly yet a little young and un-experienced. The selection of bikes are only high end and too expensive for most people. The owner is moody at best. Bike Station = Bad Business If you are need of a bike repair or cycling equipment in Aptos/Santa Cruz, I can't recommend this shop. Quite simply, they were unable to perform a simple repair on my bike (I had to bring it back 3 times). After all that, the owner had the nerve to charge me for labor when I elected to return the (still new/saleable) parts so that I could bring my bike to another shop! Just bad business, enough said. There are many bike shops in Santa Cruz County, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Helpful This little shop is such a quaint little place. The staff are fully knowledgeable and willing to help you get what you need to get out on the road or the trails! They don't mind stupid questions...they just want to get people excited about riding! Super friendly and helpful.
