I am writing to lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your Taree store on the 6th of August 2026 at approximately 12:30pm. My friend and I, who are school students, were wrongfully targeted, and implicitly accused of stealing. Upon exiting, I was entirely transparent and proactively showed a staff member a nail polish in my bag that I had previously purchased. Needed to get anew kettle, silly me got an el cheapo, contempo, got it home proceeded, to fill it up, it leaked took it back, got another Russell Hobbs better. Now next thing I got was a brilliant basics desk fan, once it was fully assembled, when it oscillated it would make a clunking sound, and when it isn't turning just in one position, rattled. I had a very disappointing experience at Big W Taree. The checkout staff member, Sarah, was extremely rude when we asked for assistance. Her attitude made my family feel very uncomfortable during what should have been a simple shopping trip. The way we were treated felt discriminatory, and I was left with the impression that we were treated differently because of our background.
