I bought a custom fit earpiece from them. Delivery time was stated as 6-8 weeks but took almost 4 months, however they charged my card immediately ($775). When finally received after multiple shipments it just didn't work under a helmet. They wanted me to lubricate them with Aquaphor each time I used them and wear a balaclava under my helmet (see pic) to make them work. What!? It's been two months since I ordered my Big Ears. No place does it say that it will take months to get a product when ordered. It's July 28th from an order placed June 1 and my ear buds are not yet in my possession. They have been in my city's post office for 3 days, but still not here. If you order, expect at least two months to get your product.
I've been happily using Big Ear custom earplug headphones for many years. While I love the product and the build quality, I've completely lost confidence in Stone Hood and the Big Ear company. I ordered a new pair of custom Big Ear earplug headphones in 2021 and paid for an inline speaker option so I could use them with my phone, as well as for listening to music while I work. First off...customer service is AMAZING. They should be teaching a master class or Ted Talk on customer service. I had a pair for riding my motorcycle that lasted me 11 years until I accidentally broke them. I called to see if they still had my mold on file (which they did). I was told they could repair them for me but I wanted to upgrade. We spoke about a few options and I went with a dual transducers set up along with the harder plastic ear piece.
