Armando was our guide. Funny guy. We took the morning trip. Highly recommend taking a trip.

We did the morning mine trip with our guide was Armando. Everyone in our group had little to no experience, yet the horses were very well trained and Armando was an excellent teacher so we all navigated the trail easily. On the trail, we saw wildlife and cracked jokes while viewing the sights. We even got to stop to take some photos with the mountains in the background. Would recommend for anyone wishing for unique way to experience the area.

Went to Big Bend Stables a couple of years ago and had a really concerning experience. Shortly after getting on my horse, I could tell something was wrong with its gait. I told the trail guide, who said it was probably a rock in the horse’s hoof. The horse struggled to keep up and could barely go downhill. Other riders even came up to me saying something was clearly wrong. I honestly wondered if the horse was lame. This is such a great spot and amazing people. Our guide was so nice and the horses are really well trained.
