Great ride
5/5 — Incredible Experience at Lajitas Stables! We did the 3-hour ride at Lajitas Stables and it was absolutely amazing. Shelby and Makinzie were extremely nice, punctual, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the land and its history. They made the entire experience feel relaxed, fun, and memorable. You can tell the animals are very well cared for—every horse, mule, and even the donkey looked healthy, happy, and well-groomed. It really reflects how much pride the staff takes in their work. What an experience! My husband, 2 children and I took the 1/2 day trail ride and it was breathtaking! Full of history, flora & fauna as well as a delicious lunch! Makenzie, our guide, was informative, safety minded and so friendly. We highly recommend taking this ride and Big Bend Stables. They’re a great outfit!
We had a good time but after 15 minutes my ass was already hurting. I guess I’m not built for horse riding. The tour guide was super friendly and funny. My only complaint is the terrain that you ride on is really not natural terrain. It’s just a lot of remains from an old mercury mine and even an old abandoned golf course.
Incredible experience! Our guides, Armando and Mackenzie were knowledgeable and fun! We highly recommend! The sunset tour was well worth it!
